In the current epidemic season, SPbSRIVS will produce and deliver over 20 million doses of influenza vaccine to Nacimbio (short for National Immunobiological Company) as per the National calendar of preventive vaccination.
“The first 6 million doses have already been shipped to the address of the national calendar’s single supplier, the rest of the vaccine will be produced and delivered as scheduled. Our vaccine proved highly efficient last year, which allowed the company to keep its status as the largest Russian manufacturer of influenza vaccines,” said Viktor Trukhin, Director of SPbSRIVS.
Besides, this year SPbSRIVS delivered 967 thousand doses of influenza vaccine to Latin American countries. The Russian vaccine will be used for influenza prevention in Cuba and Nicaragua, where the FMBA of Russia is implementing a project on construction of the Instituto Latinoamericano de Biotecnología MECHNIKOV and technology transfer for vaccine production.
