Instituto Latinoamericano de Biotecnología MECHNIKOV, the production site of SPbSRIVS in Nicaragua, keeps its status as a strategic project within the cooperation between the Russian and Nicaraguan Governments in the production of immunobiological pharmaceuticals.
Cooperation in the field of healthcare became the main topic of the agenda discussed by the co-chairs of the Russian-Nicaraguan Intergovernmental Commission, the head of the FMBA of Russia Veronika Skvortsova and the Minister of Finance of Nicaragua Ivan Acosta.
The videoconference participants expressed their intention to soon complete the elaboration of an appropriate agreement between the Governments and confirmed their commitment to continuous development of the Instituto MECHNIKOV. Veronika Skvortsova thanked all the meeting participants, noting the importance and fruitfulness of the joint work. The Representatives of Nicaragua expressed gratitude to the Government of the Russian Federation, the people of Russia and personally to Veronika Skvortsova for assistance in resolving the most important issues, and once again confirmed that they remained strategic allies and partners of Russia in the Central American region.
